1 Egg
1 c Dates; chopped
1 c Boiling water
3/4 c Nuts; chopped
1 ts Soda
1/2 ts Baking powder
3/4 c Sugar
1 tb Shortening
1 pn Salt
1-3/4 c Flour
1 ts Vanilla

Mother s Favorite Date Pudding Preparation

In the boiling water add egg, dates, and nuts. Mix the remaining ingredients together and then mix with the original mixture. Bake for about 30 minutes at 325°. NOTES : One of our Christmas puddings.
