Cooking Ingredients for No-Peek Casserole Recipe

2 lb Beef stew meat – cut up
16 oz Sour cream
1 c Red wine
1 lb Mushrooms
(you can cheat and use
Canned)
1 pk Lipton brand dry soup mix
1 cn Campbells brand mushroom
Soup
1 ts Garlic powder
1 ds Louisiana Hot Sauce –
(optional)
Salt and pepper

No-Peek Casserole Preparation

Mix all ingrediants, cover tightly, bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours. Don”t peek! Serve hot over noodles. (A Cajun friend who went only by his first name which I have translated into polite language taught me this when I was quite young. I found in later years that people outside Louisiana refer to this dish as Beef Stroganoff…) Posted by SSpahn.
