Cooking Ingredients for Tomato Dal (Tomato Pappu) Recipe

1 c Tur gram; (toor or toovar
-dal)
4 Rips tomatoes
1 ts Cumin seeds
1/2 ts Black mustard seeds
1/2 ts Peeled broken black gram
-dal; (urad dal)
2 Green chillies
1 Onion
1 tb Oil
1 tb Chilli powder
1 Sprig curry leaves
Salt; to taste

Tomato Dal (Tomato Pappu) Preparation

1. Boil tur gram and keep aside. 2. Chop tomatoes, onion and green chillies. 3. Fry cumin seeds, mustards seeds, black gram and curry leaves. Add onion and green chillies. After a minute, add tomatoes. 4. Add tur gram, half a glass of water, salt and chilli powder. Cook until thick.
