30 g Peeled ginger root – 1 oz
5 ml Peppercorns – 1 t
500 ml Water – 1 pt
500 ml More water – 1 pt
500 g Sugar – 18 oz
12 Limes; juice of
1 l Water or sparkling water – 1

Adrak Sharbat (Lime Ginger Ale) Preparation
makes 2 qt or 2 L Yamuna Devi Make a paste of the ginger. Add this paste and the peppercorns to 500 mL water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer 5 min. Strain. Set liquid aside and put solids back in the pan with more water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer 5 min. Strain. Discard solids. Combine both liquids together with sugar and lime juice. Chill.
