Cooking Ingredients for Surprise Snowballs Recipe
3/4 c Butter or margarine
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 ts Salt
1 Egg
1/2 ts Vanilla
1-3/4 c Flour
M&M s; or Jelly beans
3/4 c Sifted powdered sugar
Surprise Snowballs Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl beat butter or margarine till softened. Add sugar & salt and beat till fluffy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. With mixer on low speed gradually beat in flour till well mixed. Shape dough into 1 balls. Press a piece of desired candy in center of each and shape so that you can”t see the candy. Place 2 apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees about 15 minutes or till edges are golden. Place powdered sugar in a plastic bag. With pancake turner transfer 2 or 3 cookies to the bag. Gently shake cookies in sugar till coated. Cool on wire rack.
