Cooking Ingredients for Bblt Sandwich Recipe
2 sl Toasted bread; 1/2 thick
4 ts Homemade mayonnaise
4 Basil leaves
2 lg Tomato slices
4 sl Bacon
2 Lettuce leaves
Salt
Freshly-ground black pepper
Bblt Sandwich Preparation
Spread 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice. Slice tomatoes at least 1/4-inch thick and layer on one of the pieces of toast. Place basil, bacon, and lettuce over tomatoes seasoning to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper. Top with remaining toast and cut sandwich in half. Makes 1 sandwich. For a little variety: Add different ingredients to make new sandwiches like a B.L.A.T. – with avocado, a B.L.O.A.T. – with avocado and onion, or a B.B.T. – with basil and without lettuce.
