1/2 Stick butter or margarine
2 tb (heaping) flour
1 c Milk
1 cn (no. 2) green beans; reserve

1 cn (no. 2) tomatoes; reserve

2/3 c Chopped onion
1 ts Sugar
Salt & pepper to taste
Buttered bread crumbs

Sweet and Sour Green Beans #2 Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp & remove from grease. Add butter & flour to grease. Blend in milk & liquid from beans & tomatoes. Cook until thick. Add beans, tomatoes, onion, sugar, salt, pepper & crumbled bacon. Place in casserole & cover with buttered crumbs. Bake at 350 until bubbly & light brown. MRS.
