Salt to taste
1/2 c Raisins
1/2 c Sugar
2 tb Butter
2 c Cornmeal

To rapidly boiling water, add salt and sprinkle cornmeal slowly. Allow water to boil over meal, a few minutes. stirring briskly to preven lumping. when well combined, add shortening.
