Cooking Ingredients for Syrup Cookies Recipe

1/2 c Lard; melted
1/2 c Butter; melted
1 c Brown sugar
1 c White syrup
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/2 ts Allspice
1 ts Ginger
5 c Flour; sifted
2 ts Soda water; DISSOLVED IN
2 tb Hot water

Syrup Cookies Preparation

Combine the melted shortening, sugar and syrup. Sift the salt and spices with the flour, and add alternately with the soda and water. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
